Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this committee is to examine the amino acid, protein and mineral metabolism, which are very important for the human body, to have an idea about medical biological and genetic molecular processes that are critical for human health, to learn the concept of embryology and to evaluate all joints in our body anatomically.

Learning Outcomes
1.Explains the metabolism of amino acids, calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium.
2.Evaluates the basic cellular mechanisms underlying metabolic diseases, neurodegeneration, and cancer.
3.Evaluates the molecular basis of aging and immune system function.
4.Defines the concepts of epigenetics, cancer genetics, and stem cells.
5.Explains basic genetic diagnostic methods.
6.Distinguishes the basic concepts of embryology and the stages of fetal development.
7.Distinguishes the anatomical structure, classification, and movement characteristics of joints.
8.Evaluates the effects of ionizing radiation on the fetus during pregnancy.
