At the end of this course, students are going to learn the basic principles and stages of foreign language education in primary school level and will gain knowledge and skills about the methods and techniques used in teaching foreign languages in primary education.
Comparison of Turkish and English Instruction, review of primary school English curriculum, overview of children's developmental period characteristics, approaches, methods, techniques and practices in foreign language teaching to children, preparation of lesson plans by determining English course learning outcomes, content and assessment, classroom management in English lessons and game, song, activity-oriented instructional practices.
