Objectives of the Course

Pre-service teachers become more knowledgeable about media products for children.

Course Content

Media theories examining the relationships between children and digital media products (cartoons, advertisements, computer games, internet sites, etc.); media and violence; media and bullying; media and children's rights; the effect of media on child development; media and childhood obesity; the role of family and school in access to and use of digital media.
