Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to have the students gain knowledge about the basic music concepts which are rhythmic development, voice, tempo development, relationship between child development areas and basic concepts of music, arranging the learning environment, rhythm-sound-tempo and dance studies, creative movement and dance, musical story, playing, singing and listening with Orff Music Approach, dance-movement, self-expression, creating your own music with orff music approach using Orff tools, planning, applying and evaluation of music events according to pre-school education program

Course Content

The basic music concepts which are rhythmic development, voice, tempo development, relationship between child development areas and basic concepts of music; Arranging the learning environment, rhythm-sound-tempo and dance studies, creative movement and dance, musical story, playing, singing and listening with Orff Music Approach, dance-movement, self-expression, creating your own music with Orff Music Approach, using Orff tools; Planning, Applying and Evaluation of music events according to pre-school education program

1.Students will know and explain the basic concepts of music.
2.Students have an awareness about the relationship between the basic concepts of music and their development areas.
3.Students learn and practice playing, singing and listening activities with the Orff approach

5.Students have information about evaluating music events appropriate to the pre-school education program.
