Objectives of the Course

The aim of foreign language education in early childhood is to support children’s linguistic, cognitive and social development during the period when they are most sensitive to language learning, and to ensure that they learn a second language naturally and effectively. During this process, it is aimed to develop a positive attitude towards a foreign language, to gain basic communication skills and to express themselves, to increase their cultural awareness and to support their cognitive flexibility. In addition, the education program aims to increase children’s learning motivation and to make language acquisition permanent through games, songs, stories and other interactive methods.

Foreign Language Basic Concepts The importance of language learning and language acquisition at an early age The process of second language acquisition and child development Developing Language Skills Listening and comprehension skills (simple instructions, daily expressions) Speaking practice (vocabulary, simple sentences, tongue twisters) Word and language games Language acquisition through songs, tongue twisters and poems Language Teaching with Games and Activities Dramatization and role-playing games Storytelling supported by visuals Learning with active games and physical activities Group work and interactive activities Cultural Awareness Introduction to the cultural characteristics of the target language Recognizing and respecting cultural differences Developing motivation and interest in language learning Creating a fun learning environment Providing students with a positive attitude towards language learning Evaluation and Development Monitoring Evaluation of the learning process through observation Providing feedback appropriate to children's development
