This course aims to help students comprehend the importance and effects of out-of-class learning environments for children in early childhood and provide them with the knowledge, skills, and experience to plan, implement, and evaluate out-of-class learning activities suitable for different out-of-class learning environments.
The definition of out-of-class learning environments, the scope and importance of out-of-class learning, and its effects on early childhood are examined. Security, parent cooperation, environmental awareness, and sustainability issues are addressed. Theoretical and practical information is provided on planning, implementation, and evaluation processes for appropriate teaching methods and techniques (trips, observation, project-based learning, station technique, etc.) and the use of teaching materials in different out-of-class learning environments (school gardens, nature and forest areas, historical and cultural areas, institutions and organizations, art galleries, science and technology areas, zoos and aquariums, factories and industrial facilities, agricultural and farm areas, botanical gardens, etc.).
