Undergraduate program has two main goals: (1) to make counsellor trainees gain general formation of Guidance and Psychological Counseling and (2) to train counsellors who work for education, health and industry facilities.
History
Guidance and Psychological Counseling Undergraduate Program was established in 1997 in Education Faculty of Adnan Menderes University. In 2011 – 2012 academic year, students were enrolled in Guidance and Psychological Counseling Undergraduate Program. From beginning of 2012 -2013 academic year, students are enrolled in evening education of Guidance and Psychological Counseling Undergraduate Program.
Mission
To carry out undergraduate multidisciplinary programs; to spread the latest improvements by making use of the highest level of modern education technologies and academic team to Turkey; to create positive communication and interaction in relationship between academics and students, to provide counseling and guidance to different community regions as Turkish National Education system, to run theoretical and practical studies together; therefore on one hand by contributing to universal knowledge aspect, on the other hand to improve valid solutions offered to our communal problems.
Vision
In the period of research and counselling, quality and quantity that conform to international standards education, modern oriented, human centred, loving, respecting, understanding and contributing to improve the personality as a whole, continuing the scientific research and press events in this aspect, depending on professional ethics to provide psychological counselling and guidance to individuals and society.
