Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to teach the basic principles of play therapy, to introduce play therapy approaches, and to provide psychological counselor candidates with the ability to plan play-based interventions appropriate to developmental characteristics.

Course Content

Introduction to play therapy, theoretical foundations, types of play, developmental play behaviors, use of play in the therapeutic process, directive and non-directive play therapy techniques, ethical principles and case examples.
