Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge of environmental science, ecological systems, and environmental issues; to explain the causes and consequences of air, water, and soil pollution; to evaluate the impacts of environmental contaminants on human health and ecosystems; and to develop awareness of sustainable development and environmental protection approaches.

Course Content

Major environmental features of the earth; Role of natural and synthetic chemicals in the environment; Atmospheric and aquatic pollution; Application of acid-base theory.
