Objectives of the Course

To gain knowledge about the classification of edible oils and other oils, and the chemical and physical properties of oils. To instruct learners the oil production technologies, detergents, soaps and surfactants.

Course Content

Learning the classification of edible and other oils, chemical and physical properties that characterize the oil. To be informed about plant and animal fat production technologies. Structure of fatty acids and alcohols and their importance in soap making. To learn general information about surface active substances and detergent production technology.
