Objectives of the Course

It is aimed in this course to read printed simple Ottoman texts; to analyse different types of handwritings; to compare them with other texts in terms of language and narrative; to interprete, to simplify and to translate them into modern Turkish by the students.

Ottoman manuscripts samples to be read and analized by students.
