This course aims to enable students to analyze the spatial rules of international law, including the specific fields such as the law of the sea, air and space law, and environmental law, as well as the regulation of diplomatic relations and the legal framework applicable during armed conflicts. It also aims to develop the ability to assess current practical issues, such as Turkey’s maritime law disputes, within the context of international law.
Spatial rules of international law (land, sea, air, and outer space); the law of the sea and the challenges faced by Turkey; international environmental law; conduct of international relations through diplomacy; prohibition of the use of force and the law of armed conflict; international responsibility of states during armed conflicts and humanitarian law.
