Objectives of the Course

"Cinema and International Relations" course aims to enable students to understand the theories and practices of international relations through cinema. This course aims to enable students to gain more in-depth knowledge about international political events, conflicts, diplomacy, global problems and cultural interactions through various films, and to think critically on these issues. aims to improve their skills

Course Content

The "Cinema and International Relations" course aims to enable students to understand the theories and practices of international relations through cinema. Within the scope of this course, films dealing with issues such as war, diplomacy, globalization, humanitarian interventions and environmental problems will be watched and then discussions and evaluations will be made on these films. Students will develop a critical perspective on international relations issues through film analysis.

Learning Outcomes
1.Students will be able to critically analyze international relations theories and practices through the films they watch.
2.Students will be able to concretize international relations theories (realism, liberalism, constructivism, etc.) by applying them to real-world events and situations through cinema.
3.Students will gain a deeper understanding and awareness of international events and issues occurring in different cultural and political contexts.
4.Students will improve their communication and discussion skills through group discussions and film evaluations, and increase their ability to listen and defend different perspectives.
5.Students will strengthen their written and oral expression skills and gain experience in structuring their academic arguments by writing film analyzes and evaluation reports.
