Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to understand the concept of globalization and the transformations it has gone through. It also aims to understand the effects of globalization on the discipline of International Relations and the theoretical discussions on globalization.

Course Content

In this course, where the concept of globalization and its historical transformation are examined, the reflections of the transformation that globalization has undergone over time in the field of International Relations will be discussed. The impact of globalization, which gained momentum with the 1980s, on the transformation of the international system after the Cold War will be analyzed. The relationship between globalization and concepts such as identity, security, conflict, and migration that transformed after the Cold War will be discussed. Theoretical discussions on globalization will be discussed.
