Objectives of the Course

This course aims to analyze the economic and political integration process of the European Union, its institutions and organs, and EU policies.

Course Content

The history of European integration, which began after World War II, is analyzed. Economic and political integration theories, EU treaties, EU institutions and organs, enlargement policy, and other common policies are discussed.

1.Understands the intellectual evolution of the idea of ??integration in Europe since the Middle Ages.
2.By examining examples from the 19th century, students learn how economic integration serves peace.
3.Examines examples of integration in the world and understands the "sui generis" structure of the EU.
4.Learns the historical process of European integration.
5.Understands the institutional structure and operating mechanisms of the European Union.
