Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enhancement the basic concepts and theories of the field by using the "learning by doing" method through simulations of current events in international relations.

Course Content

Students, individually or as a group, apply games and scenarios by using the relevant concepts and theories of the discipline in current developments in international relations such as the nuclear disarmament regime, the refugee regime, the fight against climate change, Turkey's EU membership negotiations, etc.

Learning Outcomes
1.Students use the fundamental concepts of the discipline of international relations accurately and appropriately, and analyze the practical applications of key theories.
2.Students understand the perceptions, priorities, and roles of different actors in international relations and evaluate events from a multidimensional perspective.
3.Students analyze current events in international relations in depth and conduct research on the foreign policy of the stakeholder they represent.
4.Students conduct research and present information effectively both individually and as members of a group.
5.Students develop strategic thinking and implementation skills in decision-making, problem-solving, and negotiation processes.

1.A weekly reading list will be given and the course will be based on current scientific articles on current international issues.
