Objectives of the Course

This course aims to systematically analyze global change dynamics through the frameworks of future studies and scenario planning methods. It focuses on examining the impacts of technological innovation, economic, social, demographic, and environmental changes on the future. Additionally, the course aims to equip students with the skills necessary to design alternative future scenarios, evaluate global threats, and develop critical and strategic thinking towards possible futures.

Course Content

In this course, a systematic analysis of global change dynamics will be conducted within the framework of methods for understanding the future and scenario planning techniques. The impacts of technological innovation, economic, social, demographic, and environmental changes on the future will be examined, and global threats will be evaluated. Various future scenarios will be designed and critically analyzed throughout the course. In the final weeks, practical studies on possible futures will be carried out through student presentations.
