Objectives of the Course

The aim of the course is to offer a sufficient information on the institutions and the system politics of some countries of which the place in the world.The course is designed to familiarize students with the problems of contemporary political systems existing in the world, in particular with the organization and competences of the supreme state authorities.

Course Content

Basic concepts of the course, democracy, authoritarian systems, parliamentary systems, presidential systems, political models of Britain, France, Germany, Japan, Russian Federation, China, Iran and Mexico

1.A comparative study of the political and governmental systems
2.To introduce the main theories and concepts on political systems existing in the discipline to students and to provide relevant methodology for studying political realm as a system
3.To expand students’ empirical knowledge of modern political systems through comparison of similarities and differences of political systems in selected countries
4. To be able to comprehend the development of contemporary political systems
5. To be able to express their opinion about the affect of the political system on daily politics.
