Objectives of the Course

This course aims to inform students on the philosophical roots of human rights concept, its historical evolution, human rights law and human rights regimes. Moreover, establishing a relationship between human rights and democracy is another important goal of the course.

Course Content

Background and historical development of human rights and activities on the protection of human rights in the international level. The concrete steps taken in relation to human rights will be examined in detail in important international documents, contracts and protocols, as well as national and international human rights regimes.
