Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to analyze the important events, from the pre-modern ages to 1st World War, those give a direction to world history in an inter-state context.

Course Content

This course will provide an overview of European political history, mainly during the 19th century. Providing first a brief background to the European history of 17-18th century, it will mainly focus on the Concert of Europe, revolutions and nationalism in Europe, Eastern question, the road to the World War I and the War.
