Objectives of the Course

The course aims to introduce the students to the politics as a science. Thus, it is aimed to develop the ability of the students to analyze the basic concepts of political science, organization of politics, and the political theories and to create an awareness of political phenomena. By doing so, the students will use the basic concepts and theories of political science when they study the political events and facts.

Course Content

The question of "what is politics?" will be tried to be examined in this course. In this context, the concepts as the state of politics, power, citizenship and political systems will be analyzed.
