Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to develop students' competencies in planning, conducting, analyzing, and reporting scientific research, and to enable them to prepare and effectively communicate research findings in thesis or project format in accordance with scientific writing standards.

Course Content

The course covers literature review, planning and conducting research on a topic determined under the guidance of an advisor, collection and analysis of data, reporting research findings in accordance with scientific writing standards or compiling them into a thesis, and the oral presentation of the results before an audience.

Week 1 - Practice
Making a short summary of the Project and Thesis Study I course and planning the remaining studies
Week 2 - Practice
Writing the Materials and Methods section of the thesis in detail
Week 3 - Practice
Continuing the practical work
Week 4 - Practice
Continuing the practical work
Week 5 - Practice
Computerizing the collected findings and making them ready for analysis
Week 6 - Practice
Analyzing the findings
Week 7 - Practice
Converting findings into summary charts and figures
Week 8 - Practice
Writing the resource summaries section in a way that is compatible with the thesis
Week 9 - Practice
Discussion of the findings with publications by other researchers
Week 10 - Practice
Creation of the conclusion
Week 11 - Practice
Creating other parts of the thesis such as table of contents, preface, CV
Week 12 - Practice
Carrying out studies to finalize the thesis. Completion of missing application studies, if any

Preparation of the presentation

Presentation of the thesis in front of the audience
