Objectives of the Course

In this course, the aim is to impart an understanding of work and service definitions, principles of work programme preparation, and professional production processes in planning, design, and implementation processes within the scope of landscape architecture professional practice. Students are expected to become familiar with landscape architecture services, project and implementation processes, teamwork, and work organisation relationships carried out in public and private sector organisations. Furthermore, the aim is to develop students' basic knowledge and skills regarding professional responsibility, ethical behaviour, work discipline, inter-institutional communication, and application practice.

Course Content

This course covers the concept of professional practice in landscape architecture, work and service definitions, division of tasks in planning-design-implementation processes, work programme preparation, professional production and service processes. Using examples from landscape architecture activities carried out in public and private sector organisations, topics such as project preparation, implementation process, job follow-up, teamwork, inter-institutional communication, and professional responsibility are evaluated. The course examines case studies on ethical behaviour, professional attitude, work discipline, and key problems encountered in the implementation process in landscape architecture professional practice. The assessment of the course is based on written examinations, class participation/performance, and assignments. In-term assessment consists of class participation/performance, assignments, and a midterm examination, accounting for 40% of the total grade. The end-of-term assessment is conducted through the final examination, accounting for 60%. Students who repeat the course are required to complete all assignments, participation/performance activities, and examinations included in the current assessment and evaluation structure of the course.
