Objectives of the Course

It is aimed to give technical knowledges about: preparing annual maintenance programme for trees, bushes, ground covers and lawn; maintenance works and use of landscape tools, equipments and machines.

Course Content

This lesson comprise the subjects of landscape maintenance (pruning, fertilization, mulching, irrigation, aerification and chemical application techniques), techniques for tools, equipments and machines used in landscape maintenance works, preparing landscape maintenance programme, factors affecting landscape maintenance, benefits of landscape maintenance, factors decreasing landscape maintenance cost, estimate the cost of landscape maintenance.

Safety in landscape maintenance, landscape maintenance tools and equipments, factors affecting landscape maintenance
Week 3 - Theoretical
Landscape maintenance programme, estimating landscape maintenance cost, factors decreasing landscape maintenance cost

Landscape maintenance: sowing/planting, transplantation, removing leaves and debris, adjusting the border of bedding plants
Week 5 - Theoretical
Landscape maintenance: defining borders between lawn and bedding plants, mowing lawn, aerification and reclamation of a lawn

Landscape maintenance: removing dead/dried or damaged plants, pruning (prunig techniques, objectives of pruning, tools and equipments used for pruning)
