It is aimed to give technical knowledges about: preparing annual maintenance programme for trees, bushes, ground covers and lawn; maintenance works and use of landscape tools, equipments and machines.

This lesson comprise the subjects of landscape maintenance (pruning, fertilization, mulching, irrigation, aerification and chemical application techniques), techniques for tools, equipments and machines used in landscape maintenance works, preparing landscape maintenance programme, factors affecting landscape maintenance, benefits of landscape maintenance, factors decreasing landscape maintenance cost, estimate the cost of landscape maintenance. Midterm evaluation consists of attending lectures (Performance) assessment (5%) and one midterm exam (35%), totaling 40%. The end-of-semester assessment is conducted based on the final examination, which constitutes 60% of the overall evaluation. Students who retake the course are obliged to fulfill all assignments, attending lectures/performance activities, and examinations anew within the scope of the current assessment and evaluation procedures of the course.
