During the course, students will learn drugs which are the most important equipments to provide health care. They will also gain an overview of the immediate necessities of medicines as well as their use in everyday practice. They will be provided to reach the knowledge level, necessary for learning pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of drugs affecting organ systems, reducing the toxicities, interactions and adverse effects of drugs and improving public health.

Basic concepts in pharmacology, pharmacological properties, side effects and toxicity of drugs effective on tissue and organ systems are included in the course. While introducing medicines in accordance with the nursing education program, appropriate information is given for their practical use.
