Objectives of the Course

Provide opportunity to our university students; to be able to have basic information on/about music and have a sense of appreciation and taste towards music while majoring in their own academic fields throughout their learning period. Allow students develop the kind of personality to be able to cope with global changes, interpersonal relations and thus a status having been achieved as to have delicate and respected environment by being an active participant of cultural, educational, and social events organized by Pamukkale University, through our cultural and art oriented activities, to put our students out of monotonous circle of life into active, happy and productive and creative happy environment.

Course Content

What is Music? The impact of music art on human life. Basic music theory information such as note, porte, clef, sound, frequency, etc. Sound and silent periods. History of note. Types of Western music such as ballet, opera, oratorio, lied, symphony, concerto, etc. Section of human voices, sound health and protection of voice. The structure of vocal cords.
