Having information about the various methods of analysis applied to crops to capture the quality and standards in plant production

Course Content

Methods of analysis used to determine the lack of fertilizers, physical analysis made in seeds, drug residue analyzes, various chemical analyzes made in seeds, molecular-based analysis

Introduction: The importance of plant analysis. Laboratory overview.
Week 2 - Theoretical & Practice
Laboratory safety measures. Laboratory rules the laboratory
Week 3 - Theoretical & Practice
Instruments and equipment used in the laboratory. Principles of solution preparation.
Week 4 - Theoretical & Practice
Laboratory accidents and first aid. Preparation of solutions with different concentrations: molar, normal, etc.
Week 5 - Theoretical & Practice
Analytical methods used to determine macronutrient deficiencies in plants. Leaf discoloration analysis.
Week 6 - Theoretical & Practice
Analytical methods used to determine micronutrient deficiencies in plants. Comparison of Fe and Zn deficiency symptoms.
Week 7 - Theoretical & Practice
Collecting and storing plant samples. Collecting plant samples on campus.

Preparing plant samples for analysis. Washing, drying, and grinding processes.
