Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is tell (explain) of students written and verbal their wishes and demands with their learned German language knowledge after finish of their studies in tourism sector.

Course Content

The objective of this course is teaching of basic German language which they need during their graduate studies and during their works after their studies so that the students can express after their studies in German language what they want.

2.Can express himself/herself in German and can easily understand spoken language.

Weekly Detailed Course Contents
Week 1 - Theoretical
Meeting with students, providing information about the topics to be covered in the fall semester, and a brief review of what was learned last semester
Week 2 - Theoretical
Listening, understanding, and answering questions about professions and jobs through illustrated dialogue. Brief information about the education system in Germany
Week 3 - Theoretical
A short review of the last lesson, learning about various professions and their grammatical rules. Local Präposition: “bei”, modal Präposistion: “als”
Week 4 - Theoretical
Providing information about professional life, singular and plural forms of professions
Week 5 - Theoretical
Obtaining and imparting information about educational processes, fields of study, and work processes through dialogue. Temporale Präpositionen: “vor”, “seit”+ Dativ, W-Fragen: “wann”, “seit wann”, “wie lange”
Week 6 - Theoretical
Brief reminder and review of the last lesson. Reinforcing the latest learning in the form of questions and answers through an internship application, making a phone call
Week 7 - Theoretical
Präteritum: “sein” and “haben”, being able to give information about past events of oneself or others, preparation for the visa, repetition of what has been learned and various exercises
Week 8 - Intermediate Exam
Midterm exam
Week 9 - Theoretical
Answering midterm exam questions, general revision, reading and understanding various internships and job postings, answering questions. Temporale Präposition: “für” + Akkusativ, W- Frage: “Für wie lange”
Week 10 - Theoretical
Making phone calls about internship or job postings, asking questions about wages, working hours, internship duration, etc.
Week 11 - Theoretical
Listening to, understanding, and answering questions about car rental through illustrated dialogue. Learning new vocabulary related to the topic. Getting brief information about the cities of München and Salzburg
Week 12 - Theoretical
Rules for renting and using a car in Germany, Modalfiil “müssen”
Week 13 - Theoretical
Buying tickets from ticket machines in Germany, Zeitadverbien: “zuerst”,” danach”, “dann”,” zum Schluss”, Pronomen: “man”
Week 14 - Theoretical
Short repetition of the last lesson, Modalfiil “dürfen”, reinforcement of Modalfiils with exercises
Week 15 - Theoretical
Preparation for the final exam, general review
