Objectives of the Course

The purpose of this course is to address the issues about status of local governments in intermediate and advanced level.

Course Content

The basic legislation in Turkey, relations of local governments between each other, the historical development of local governments, local government reform, scale economy and optimal scale in local governments, the effects of EU to the Turkish local governments.

5.Good urban practices are introduced.
