Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to learn the fundamental concepts, theories, and processes of interpersonal communication; to contribute to the development of effective communication skills in interpersonal interactions; and to provide them with knowledge and practical skills in verbal and nonverbal communication, empathy, listening, persuasion, conflict management, and relationship building.

Course Content

The course covers fundamental concepts of interpersonal communication, the communication process and its elements, perception and communication, verbal and nonverbal communication, listening skills, empathy, self-identity formation, interpersonal relationships, communication barriers, conflict management, persuasion and influence processes, cross-cultural interpersonal communication, and interpersonal communication skills in public relations applications.
