Objectives of the Course

Teaching the concept of oral and maxillofacial surgery teaching the techniques of the teeth removal.

Course Content

Introduction to oral & maxillofacial surgery,different inspection techniques in examination,evaluating patients in the aspect of oral surgery, asepsis &antisepsis,topographic anatomy of oro-facial structures,laboratory & radiologic investigations,wound healing and its complications,teaching the concept of oral and maxillofacial Surgery, Teaching the techniques of the teeth removal. Preoperative preparations and postoperative careIncision and suture techniques,tooth extraction surgery of impacted teeth In addition students join the clinical work 16 hours a whole year.

Learning Outcomes
1.To have approaches about diagnosis, treatments and prevention about mouth,toot and tooth-like tissues, jaw.
2.To take medical history from patients or the relatives and examines the mouth,toot and tooth-like,jaw and periodontal tissues.

4.To diagnose via evaluation of verification,clinical examination and medical history.
5.To make a treatment plan with the participation of patient and/or the relatives , to refer patient to specialist if further and complicated surgery is needed.
