his course aims to teach the fundamental processes of metabolism and to provide an understanding of the causes, prevention, and treatment approaches of dentistry-related diseases based on biochemical principles.

| 1. | Students will be able to explain the structure, metabolism, and regulation of carbohydrates, including glycolysis, TCA cycle, and related pathways. |
| 2. | Students will demonstrate understanding of lipid biochemistry, including digestion, absorption, synthesis, oxidation, and regulatory mechanisms. |
| 3. | Students will describe protein digestion processes, amino acid biosynthesis and degradation, as well as the urea cycle and related metabolic pathways. |
| 4. | Students will analyze the biochemical basis of blood coagulation, plasma proteins, connective tissue components, and extracellular matrix functions |
| 5. | Students will understand hormone classification, signal transduction mechanisms, and the metabolic regulation of calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and bone remodeling markers. |
