Introduction to the morphology of primary teeth, preparation of cavity designs in primary molars, and teaching the steps of preventive, restorative, and endodontic procedures under preclinical conditions.
This is a core professional course that includes the examination of primary tooth morphology and aims to develop practical skills in Class I and Class II cavity preparations in primary molars, the ART technique, fissure sealant application, stainless steel crown demonstration, pulpotomy, root canal treatment, and compomer restoration procedures.
| 1. | Describes the morphological characteristics of primary teeth and explains their clinical significance in cavity preparation, pulp therapy, and restorative procedures. |
| 2. | Performs Class I and Class II cavity preparations in primary molars in accordance with biological, mechanical, and restorative principles. |
| 3. | Performs the atraumatic restorative treatment (ART) technique using glass ionomer cement in primary molars and applies pit and fissure sealants in permanent molars in accordance with the principles of preventive dentistry. |
| 4. | Explains restorative treatment options, material selection, and the fundamental principles of advanced restorative approaches in primary molars. |
| 5. | Prepares the pulpotomy access cavity in primary molars and applies the appropriate pulpotomy material according to preclinical procedural steps. |
| 6. | Performs access cavity preparation, working length determination, root canal shaping, root canal obturation, and compomer restoration procedures in primary molars under preclinical conditions. |
