The aim of this course is to provide dental students with knowledge of the role and importance of auxiliary dental personnel in oral healthcare services, to develop effective teamwork skills with auxiliary staff, and to introduce the fundamental concepts of dentistry, ergonomics, dental materials, sterilization, disinfection, and infection control. At the end of the course, students are expected to acquire the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes necessary to contribute to a safe, efficient, and quality-oriented clinical environment.

This course covers the roles, responsibilities, and duties of auxiliary dental personnel within the dental team, the principles of effective teamwork, fundamental concepts of dentistry, clinical ergonomics, dental materials and their applications, sterilization and disinfection methods, and infection control practices. The course also addresses patient and occupational safety, prevention of cross-infection, standard infection control precautions, and quality management principles in clinical practice. It aims to enable students to communicate effectively with auxiliary dental personnel, adopt safe clinical practices, and develop a team-based approach in professional dental practice.
