Application of the clinical treatment methods in children's patients
In Pediatric Dentistry diagnosis and treatment planning, restorative treatment and materials, diagnosis of eruption and developmental anomalies , application of prophylactic treatments
| 1. | Takes a medical and dental history, performs a clinical examination, radiographic assessment, and caries risk analysis in pediatric patients, and plans an individualized preventive and therapeutic clinical approach based on the findings. |
| 2. | Performs restorative treatment of primary teeth, fissure sealant placement, and topical fluoride applications in accordance with the principles of material selection, isolation, infection control, and patient safety. |
| 3. | Evaluates pulpal diseases and indications for endodontic treatment in primary teeth and performs the appropriate vital or non-vital pulp therapy or root canal treatment in accordance with clinical guidelines. |
| 4. | Evaluates the indications for primary tooth extraction, the need for local anesthesia, the requirement for post-extraction space maintenance, and potential complications in pediatric patients, and manages the extraction and space maintainer planning using a safe and ethical approach. |
| 5. | Communicates effectively with pediatric patients, parents, colleagues, and allied healthcare personnel during clinical practice, and manages informed consent, digital record-keeping, referral, consultation, and follow-up processes in accordance with professional responsibilities. |
