Clinical applications of the given theorical orthodontic knowledge during third and fourth year
Model analysis, cephalometric analysis, fabrication and application functional and removable appliances
| 1. | Observe and explain the orthodontic clinic workflow, patient admission, and clinical record-keeping system; comply with patient confidentiality, infection control, and ethical rules in the clinical setting. |
| 2. | Observe new-patient examination, history taking, extraoral/intraoral examination, and orthodontic diagnostic record taking (impressions, photographs, radiographs), and relate these stages to diagnostic reasoning. |
| 3. | Interpret the relationship between clinical findings and diagnosis/treatment decisions based on the observation of model analysis, cephalometric analysis, and treatment planning processes. |
| 4. | Observe the clinical application and activation stages of removable, functional, and fixed appliances (bracket bonding, archwire placement, control sessions, anchorage and auxiliaries), and relate the procedures to the relevant treatment principles. |
| 5. | Observe the clinical course of different malocclusion types (Class I/II/III, transverse anomalies) and special cases (impacted teeth, interdisciplinary, TMJ, adult, orthognathic-surgical), and the finishing, retention, and relapse processes, and evaluate cases comparatively pre/post treatment. |
