Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to enable students to translate their theoretical knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of endodontic diseases into clinical practice and to equip them with the knowledge, clinical skills, and professional attitudes required to perform patient assessment, clinical and radiographic examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and non-surgical endodontic treatment in accordance with current scientific principles. The course also aims to develop students' ability to perform clinical procedures in compliance with the principles of infection control, ergonomics, patient safety, professional ethics, and effective communication.

Course Content

In this course, students, under the supervision of faculty members, obtain patients' medical and dental histories, perform clinical and radiographic examinations, establish endodontic diagnoses, and develop appropriate treatment plans. They perform the fundamental clinical procedures of non-surgical endodontic treatment, including rubber dam isolation, access cavity preparation, working length determination, root canal preparation, irrigation, and obturation. Students also develop safe, evidence-based clinical practice skills while adhering to the principles of infection control, patient safety, clinical record keeping, professional communication, and ethical conduct.
