This course aims to provide dental students with knowledge and awareness of sustainable healthcare, environmental responsibility, the effects of climate change on oral health, green dental practices, efficient resource utilization, waste management, and environmentally responsible dental care. Students are expected to integrate sustainability principles into clinical practice.
The course covers sustainable development goals, sustainability in healthcare, reducing environmental impacts, carbon footprint, energy and water management, healthcare waste management, balancing infection control with environmental sustainability, eco-friendly dental materials, environmental benefits of digital dentistry, green dental clinic design, ethics, and corporate social responsibility.
