Department Head
Child Development Department, between 0-18, showing normal development, special needs, needy (living in normal / special needs institution, working, refugee and children to crime) and all development areas (mental, language, motor, self) hospitalized, In addition to developing social and emotional) supportive programs, it was established to raise child developers who continue to serve children, families, professionals and the society, and to conduct scientific research in the field of child development.
Students are admitted to the Child Development Department by score type. The annual quota of our department is 70.
History
In the 2014-2015 academic year, Söke Sağlık Y.O. Our department, which started undergraduate education in 2016-2017 academic year, started to provide education within the faculty with the establishment of the Faculty of Health Sciences.
With the 2018-2019 Spring semester, the Master's Program has also been opened.
Mission
To raise graduates who can bring solutions to the needs of the society and national and universal problems in the field of Child Development, produce projects that can contribute to the high benefit of the child and family, think critically, are productive, entrepreneurial, and be able to provide quality and reliable service to the society.

To raise graduates who can renew and develop themselves in line with the changing and developing needs of the society, who are well-known in their field at home and abroad, contemporary, participatory, scientifically thinking, innovative, aiming quality.
Purpose
The Child Development Department covers all developmental areas (mental, language, motor, self) of children between the ages of 0-18 who are normally developing, with special needs, in need of protection (living in normal / special needs institutions, working, refugees and children pushed to crime) and hospitalized children. In addition to developing supportive programs for care, social and emotional), it trains "Child developmentalists" who provide services to children, families, professionals and society, and carries out scientific research, consultancy, publications and public awareness in the field of child development.
Physical Infrastructure
Classrooms in the Faculty of Health Sciences Building are used jointly by the Department of Child Development along with other departments. Our faculty building has classrooms, equipment, surface area, environmental facilities, laboratories and units. The areas available in our faculty building are most effectively used in coordination between departments. Academic staff carry out the current program by working with dedication. In the classes where theoretical courses will be processed, there are computers, projectors, projection screens, rows in anfi layout and a blackboard.
