To teach the students to learn social- emotional and personality development and the problem cases of these developmental areas.
Completing the course students will; Be able to define basic concepts about social emotional and personality development temperament, self, identity, self-esteem, self-efficacy, self-control); development of self-regulation, comprehend social emotional developmental process; get information about factors which affect social emotional development; realize retardation and sensitive to them; show proper behavior in retardation; comprehend importance of personality development; gain ability to orientate personality development in childhood;the role of parents in social-emotional development, peer relations and the development of friendship relations, comprehend importance of sexual development and education; define a perspective and give suggestions to educators and families; comprehend that parents, educator and all sectors necessary should be conscious about social emotional, personality and sexual development and show proper behavior, Scales and checklists use of social and emotional development measuring in the world and Turkey.
