Objectives of the Course

To have student be able to discuss developmental theories and concept considering the fact that the development is a lifelong process

Lifelong development, basic concept and theories of development, development of adolescence, early, middle and late adulthood, and death.

Learning Outcomes

1.	Explain the important processes, periods, nature of development research and basic development theories related to human development by discussing lifelong perspective in development.
2.	Explain the transition from adolescence to young adulthood, physical, cognitive change, sexuality during this adulthood, and the importance of marriage, family life, career and work life.
3.	Explain the transition process from young adulthood to middle adulthood, physical, cognitive change, sexuality and marriage in this period, family life, the importance of career and work life.
4.	Explains and discusses theories and concepts related to mid adulthood. Explains and discusses physical and cognitive development in adulthood.
5.	Define the system of death and its cultural and historical contexts and ways of coping with death.
