Objectives of the Course

To have student be able to discuss developmental theories and concept considering the fact that the development is a lifelong process

Course Content

Lifelong development, basic concept and theories of development, development of adolescence, early, middle and late adulthood, and death.

1.Explains the physical, cognitive, and socio-emotional characteristics of development during adolescence, early adulthood, middle adulthood, and late adulthood.
2.Analyzes developmental changes and continuities across the lifespan within the framework of developmental theories.
3.Evaluates individual developmental differences in terms of biological, psychological, and environmental factors.
4.Interprets developmental tasks and adaptation processes encountered during adulthood based on scientific research findings
5.Explains death, dying, and bereavement from a developmental psychology perspective and evaluates individuals’ responses to these processes.
