At the end of the course it is aimed for students to learn the functioning of the juvenile justice system in our country, functioning of the system in justice system about children dragged into crime, victims, witnesses and vulnerable children, to know the working principles of inter-agency and multidisciplinary and occupational roles and responsibilities, to gain the ability to define roles and responsibilities as child developmentalist in the justice system

| 1. | Analyzes the basic characteristics of the juvenile justice system and its place in national and international legislation. |
| 2. | Defines the functioning of institutions within the Turkish juvenile justice system and the roles of professional staff. |
| 3. | Explains different theories of crime and evaluates the causes and developmental processes of delinquency in children in conflict with the law. |
| 4. | Plans legal measures for children in conflict with the law and the principles of multidisciplinary work. |
| 5. | Interprets support systems for victims, witnesses, and children in need of protection and the professional responsibilities of a child development specialist through case examples. |
