Objectives of the Course

To teach characteristics of language and speech disorders

Course Content

Basic concepts in speech and language disorders and general evaluation of development-communication language and speech disorders in children, differences between speech and language disorders, explanation of developmental language disorders.

1.	It helps understand the fundamental differences between language disorders and speech disorders.
2.	It explains the concepts of "receptive language - expressive language - delayed language - over-regularization - under-regularization".
3.	It explains what language disorders and speech disorders are.
4.	It explains the developmental processes in language development that occur during early childhood (0-6 years old).
5.	It discusses what language learning theories are and their characteristics.
