To teach the operation of the child justice system in our country, national and international legislation, institutional structures, and interdisciplinary working principles regarding children dragged into crime, victims, witnesses, and children in need of protection within the justice system; to provide the skill to analyze the professional roles, responsibilities, and forensic practices of child development specialists in the juvenile justice system through case examples.
Legislation of the juvenile justice system and international conventions, Child Protection Law, institutions and professions in the Turkish juvenile justice system; crime theories (psychological, learned behavior, social disorganization); causes of crime, developmental problems, and legal measure decisions for children dragged into crime; statuses of victim, witness, and protection-needing children in the forensic system, and case presentations on the professional roles and responsibilities of child developers in forensic processes.
