Objectives of the Course

To provide knowledge and skills in individualized education programs (IEP) development in line with the educational assessment, identification, and performance determination processes of children with special needs through interdisciplinary team collaboration, formulating long/short-term objectives, implementing instructional adaptations, and reporting developmental data in academic standards.

Course Content

Early special education services, legal foundations, interdisciplinary teamwork; educational assessment approaches, case analyses, and determining performance levels; writing long and short-term objectives, concept and task analysis; instructional adaptation strategies, supportive services, and inter-expert coordination; monitoring development, data recording methods, planning transition processes, and writing end-of-IEP reports.

1.Explains the basic components and requirements of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) and the importance of teamwork.
2.Understands educational data collection methods and determines a child’s performance level through case examples.
3.Writes goals appropriate to the performance level and designs skill analyses.
4.Identifies supplementary services in the process and plans coordination among service providers.
5.Records developmental data, organizes transition processes, and writes reports in accordance with standards.
