Objectives of the Course

The aim of this course is to understand the significance of physical activity and recreational practices in promoting children's motor development, physical fitness, and socio-emotional well-being. The course enables students to design, plan, and implement age-appropriate programs effectively.

Course Content

Topics include physical development in childhood, international guidelines for physical activity, types of recreational activities suitable for children, play-based approaches, motor skill development, and the effects of inactivity. Indoor and outdoor physical activity environments and sample program planning are also discussed
