The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the fundamental concepts of recreational activities within the tourism sector, plan and manage such activities, and deliver recreation services in line with sustainability principles. Students will also analyze recreational practices at tourism destinations and gain cultural and environmental awareness.

This course includes topics such as the relationship between tourism and recreation, types of tourism, the role of recreation in tourism products, planning recreational activities, animation, organizing recreation in tourism facilities, sustainable tourism, ecotourism and recreation, cultural heritage and recreation, and nature-based recreation.
