Objectives of the Course

To provide students with the knowledge and skills to explain the effects of Psychological Science on sportive performance development, to apply mental training methods at a basic level and to use the basic knowledge gained in the field of psychology to improve the performance of athletes.

Course Content

The field of sports psychology covers topics such as: personality, motivation, arousal, stress and anxiety in sport; psychology of competition and encounter, group and Team Dynamics, Group winding, leadership and communication in sport, psychological skills training, attention, perception, focus, processes that negatively affect sportive performance: burnout, driving, unhealthy behaviors, addiction, violence and aggression.
